The body of work ''Liturgy and relics'' seeks to re-imagine liturgies and religious stories with the black body. This project is based on three keywords which are convergence, divergence, and re-imagining. The human body can be said to be the most scared, investigated and controlled element in the society. It has been used in time past to make a statement, incite conversations/debate, promote the human beauty, challenge status quo as its role can’t be overemphasized. The human body is used extensively in this project, as an intermediary. The goal of this project is to use the black human body to construe liturgies.
